Weekend Update

The Taylors took a 3-day weekend. Brianna had yesterday off, so Brian took the day off as well.

Friday night Brianna and I hung out at the pumpkin patch. We had a good time talking and hanging out. I miss hanging out at the patch other times of the year.

Saturday was Halloween. Alex got up at 6:15 ready to "go to Halloween." His costume was on by 8:15. That's right, he wore his costume all day. My parents came to visit, as well as Sonya, Amos and Cragan. Saturday night we went to Trunk or Treat. I love Trunk or Treat. The kids can kind of do their own thing, and we know everyone giving out the candy. The haunted trail was scheduled to open, but it started to rain. Alex was so bummed. Jason kidnapped someone each time a group went through and he was going to kidnap Alex the first trip through. Alex was so excited, and bummed when it started raining and they cancelled it. Maybe next year. Brianna dressed up as a hippie. She's into the whole peace sign thing. Alex dressed up as Tony Stewart. Friday we went to the Candy Crawl in Concord. A cop asked Alex if he was Carl Edwards and full of attitude, Alex answered, "No, I'm Tony Stewart."

Sunday was super busy. After church we ehaded to Concord Mills to pick up a birthday present for a birthday dinner that night. After the mall, was a quick trip to Wal Mart to pick up the cake for the dinner. Then, we ran home and rested for a bit. Then, it was off to Applebees to celebrate Maranda's 16th birthday! We had such a great time.

Yesterday morning Brian stayed home with the kids while I went to WW to weigh in. After weigh in, I had told Brianna we would go eat Chinese. We ate so much, but it was yummy! Yesterday afternoon we went to SouthPark mall. Brian wanted to check out the Apple Store. Right beside the Apple Store was Sur La Table, if you don't know, it's a cooking gadget store. While the boys were in the Apple Store, Brianna and I were next door! There was a huge bookcase, from floor to ceiling, full of cookbooks! I almost fell over! We got home from the mall in time for me to hop in the truck and head to a meeting.

This morning, has been busy already. I have already been to the Minute Clinic. I have bronchitis, but should be back to normal by Thursday. I'm hoping so anyway. The house need to be cleaned for Rock Group on Friday.
