Weekend Update

That's right, you get the weekend update early!

Friday night was Rock Group. There were several families missing, but we had a great time anyway. Our food theme was pizza and I made a new recipe. Look for it at the bottom of this post. Anyway, we just spent time talking and catching up with each other.

Saturday morning Brianna and I went to buy groceries. Wal Mart was having their Taste of the Season. Which means the place was filled with samples! I didn't even need lunch after. We hung out at home the rest of the morning and most of the afternoon. Then we went to David's surprise b-day party. I really think he was surprised.

Mr. David getting out of the car. Alex hand cuffed in the jail. He had such a good time playing.

Checking out the puppies.

David and Wanda. David and Amos. We had such a great time. After the party we sat around the fire and talked while the kids played.
Sunday, today, we did nothing. Absolutely nothing. Brianna and Alex both have runny noses and Brianna doesn't feel good. I don't want a repeat of the last month, so we stayed home and rested. She seems to be feeling much better, so hopefully a little extra rest was what she needed. I'm so tired of sickness. I bought the kids some gummy echinacea at Wal Mart on Saturday. I didn't even know they made such a thing, but Amy told me about them.
Pizza Bites
Whole wheat pizza crust
Shredded mozzarella
Any pizza toppings you like
Pinch off a walnut sized ball of dough, flatten. Fill with mozzarella and additional toppings. Seal the dough around the filling and place in a pie dish, seam side down. Brush bites with olive oil and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 for 16-18 minutes. Serve warm with pizza sauce for dipping.
These were yummy and Alex helped me make them. He thought he was something helping cook. They were super easy too. They would be a good after school snack, if you have a kids that eats lunch early, or an easy lunch.
Alex is playing in the middle of the living room and Brian just looked at me and asked if he is normal. I'm pretty sure he is, he's just a goofball!
