Well, we survived whatever virus or flu or whatever it was that bit us last weekend. Although I am still tired, I feel so much better! Thursday Alex got to realize one of his lifelong dreams! He got to ride a horse! He was so stinkin excited. He climbed right up there and didn't even act like he was scared or anything. Other than that there was a ton of laughs at Momma's. Oh my goodness, we laughed so hard my side hurt!
Friday we were home and the kids worked on cleaning their rooms. We bought them each a mini Christmas tree for their rooms, so they needed to clean so they would have room for their trees. I don't shop on Black Friday, so it was nice to be home. I was also exhausted from Thursday (I'm guessing it was the remains of whatever we had last week.)
Saturday we met two of the Davis girls at Carolina Place mall! It has been such a long time since I saw Maranda. I pushed Becca around the mall in her wheelchair. She is funny! We found this cute scarf in JC Penney. When we finally found where it was on the rack, the price tag said $50. That's right, $50! Becca said, "What are they thinking? $50 for a scarf! Don't they know we are in a recession?" I was dying laughing. I wouldn't let Maranda push her, I was loving her commentary.
Sunday afternoon we put up the Christmas tree. I love that the kids like to decorate! All I had to do was put it together and place the limbs. The kids put all the ornaments on! There was no arguing. I didn't have to do a thing! It looks really good. I have a ton of pictures that I will post later. Brian smoked a turkey breast and we had a mini Thanksgiving.
