I am going to take a break from telling you all the happenings in the Taylor house. I am in the mood to gripe and often get in trouble when I gripe on here. Brianna and I found this interesting tidbit in the World Market sales paper yesterday.
"A German tree timming tradition:
After they decorate their tree parents hide the pickle ornamanet among the boughs. When the children see the decorated tree for the first time they hunt for the hidden ornament knowing that the lucky child who finds it will receive an extra little gift from St. Nicholas."
We thought this was cool. So, I am going to start looking up Christmas traditions from other countries to share with Bri and you guys.

I have a friend that has done this for a very long time. She only has 1 child but still does it because it is fun watching him find the pickle. She made the pickle ornament herself with construction paper.
I might just do that myself this year!
Jake made one in kindergarten that has the directions printed on it! We started that tradition that year too!
