Wacky Wednesday

Wednesday was such a crazy day.  I don't mean crazy busy, I mean off the rails wack a doo.  I started the day with a Cardio Funk class at the Y.  The class was so, so much fun.  Julie, the instructor, ended the class with a devotion time.  When I got to Alex's class for my tutor time.  I tutored my little friend and got ready for my recess time projects.  (The teacher gives me a to do list while the kids are on the playground.  It normally involves sharpening all the pencils the kids go through.)  While the kids were getting bundled up to go out, we heard a thump and looked over and there was a kid on the floor.  He was on the rocking chair playing, broke the rocking chair, and fell.  He was fine, thank goodness, but the chair was not.  So, I take the kid and the broken rocker from the rocking chair up to the office to talk to the principal.  I have to say I felt a little weird walking through the hall with a kid and a broken rocker!  The dad of this kid is a bully and calls the office or comes into the office to fuss and complain about everything.  I'm honestly scared of him.  That's why the teacher wanted him to talk to the principal, so there was be some documentation of what happened.

For supper last night, I made a nacho soup that was delicious!!  I browned some ground turkey, onion and garlic.  Threw that in the crockpot with a can of cheddar cheese soup, a packet of taco seasoning, 1 1/2 cups of milk, and a can of Rotel.  Mix all that together and cook for 3-4 hours on low.  Since I work the school store on Wednesday, I knew it would be much longer than 3-4 hours, so I turned it on warm.  The soup was hot, but not to hot.  We crushed some tortilla chips on top.  Both kids liked it too!
