Weekend Update

I know I normally do this at the end of the weekend and I am!  The kids had a four day weekend from school.  Monday was a holiday and Tuesday was a teacher workday.

Friday, nothing much happened.  I did get to eat lunch with Alex and he got to actually buy lunch from school.  Buying lunch is something he earns with good behavior.  Thankfully he earned it for the first time in a long time.

Saturday we headed to Forest City to visit the family and watch Cragan's gymnastic's show.  We had a good visit with Nana.  During supper Daddy's fire pager went off and the kids and I got all excited to get to go.  It's been a long time since I have been involved in all that.  They were called to set up a landing pad for a medical helicopter.  They cancelled.  Alex and I were disappointed.

Sunday afternoon Alex and I headed to BJ's.  He bought himself a book while we were there.  He has been reading that thing like a crazy man!  Every time I look up he has his nose in that book.  Not that I am complaining!  Not at all! I love that he has started reading and is enjoying it!

Monday we stayed home all day.  We worked on laundry and cleaned a little.  Bri worked on homework.

Tuesday we had to run some errands and it turned into more than we expected.  Bri had a doctor's appointment for a spot on her finger.  The office was busy and the doctor was running late. She did stick her head in the room and tell us she was running behind.  The kids also got to use the coin counter at the credit union.  As we were looking at the receipt we realized the machine broke everything down by kind of coin and how much of each coin you counted.  After all that I think we are ready to tackle our short week.

I've started posting one thing that makes me happy each day over on Twitter.  A friend of mine posted it and I'm tagging it with #100happydays. I am a believer in noticed the little good things in each day.  I think I will share them here as well.  Get ready, today is day 4.  I get it caught up here and then continue daily.
