Oh Christmas Tree!

We decorated the house for Christmas on Friday.  All I had to do was put the tree up.  The kids did the rest!  They like putting the ornaments on.  Alex even showed me a couple of his and told me about them.

Weekend Update

Sorry this is late.  It took forever for the pictures to upload.

Friday night we were home getting ready for Saturday.

Saturday we headed to Scout Day at Duke.  We went to the football game, toured a bit of the campus, and went to the volleyball game.  It was full day but so much fun!

Sunday afternoon everyone was home working on some homework.  Later in the afternoon Bri and I met her teammate and coach at the middle school to paint the rock for the first home game.

Alex has started playing on the hill behind the house a lot!  I caught him just sitting on some rocks one afternoon.  

Maranda ate lunch with him Thursday.  Of course there were a lot of questions about who she is.  Alex introduced her as his girlfriend.

Weekend Update

We had a busy weekend.  Friday Alex played hooky from school and we chaperoned the Pep Band field trip to the Christmas Show.  They played at 11.

After the band played there was a little time for shopping.  We found the train display.  I don't know who enjoyed it more, the girls or Alex.  The people running the exhibit were super nice and answered all the kids questions.

Saturday Bri and I headed to stamp club.  When we got home Brian's friend Perry came by.  He was in Charlotte for a meeting and paid us a visit.  He's going to help Brian build some shelves in the garage!  We may be to actually get a car in there once they are finished.

Sunday Bri was sick, so we laid around and let her rest and hopefully get to feeling better.

This girl, the one in black and pink that belongs to me, is the Academic Student of the Month for her team at school! It was announced during the afternoon announcements on Wednesday. She came out to the car looking all embarrassed. I sent Brian a text and told him about it. She promptly rolled her eyes and asked who all I told. I told her just her Daddy, because she is half his. She asked which half of her is his. I told her she gets her smarts from him, but gets her good looks from me! Is anyone surprised that I got another eye roll?

Weekend Update

We had a fun weekend filled with celebrating Bri's first God given breath.  Friday we had 5 girls here for cookie cake and pizza.  It was so much fun!

Saturday we had a cookout with my parents and Amos, Sonya, and Cragan.  The kids ran all over the place!  They had a big time "sneaking" candy and chips.  They thought they were getting by with something, but we knew what they were doing.

Sunday we made a trip to Carowinds. It was hot and humid, but we had a good time!  Alex is always so funny there.  He wants to ride Thunder Road, but about half way up the hill he always tells me he has to go to the bathroom.  I tell him, it's to late, he has to hold it.  He likes the ride though.

Monday Bri and I spent a little girl time together.  We went shopping in Pineville.
