Day 84
Ross, at Carowinds, was a ray of sunshine today! He came out of his office into the parking lot to let me turn in an order form and check. Thank you Ross for helping me order tickets for the 8th grade field trip.

Day 77
Three of the four Davis girls came to Carowinds Sunday. We got to hang out with them and the kids rode the rides. It was a beautiful day, not to hot. Bri chose not to get in on the bunny pic, but I think she liked having Becca and Kaylee to ride with.
Day 76
Math Easter Egg Hunt. Alex was "ticked off" that there was no candy involved in this hunt. The kids had to find 25 eggs and solve the math problems inside.
Day 75
The Bay Street Brass Band visited Bri's school and it was awesome! They played jazz and the kids seemed to like it. I checked Alex out of school early so he could come enjoy with the "big" kids.

Day 74
I helped plant these bulbs last year with Alex's class. I was so excited to see them come up and look beautiful again this year!

Day 70
The honesty of little ones cracks me up. I overheard bits of two hilarious conversations on the first grade playground today:
Two little girls were playing on the equipment and one looked at another and said, "When are you getting your fake hair taken out?"
One little boy looked at another and said, "My dad likes junk in the trunk."

Day 69
I got to teach again! The science teacher has been out for a couple weeks and asked me to fill in on Tuesday morning. I has been so fun!

Day 68
This bird lives in the retention pond at Alex's school. I got to watch it not move a muscle in the car rider line this afternoon.

Day 64 and a Recipe
Tuesday I taught 2nd grade science. The science lab teacher had an orthopedist appointment (she broke both her bones in her right arm) and missed the morning classes. The classes learned about the Plant Life Cycle. When we got to the pollination step, a little girl raised her hand and said, "My mommy says that pollen is the reason I feel like crap."
Here is the recipe. Monday was crazy busy. We worked the store at the middle school and then I had to be back to the middle school at 6. I needed something easy that would be ready when we got home, because there was NO time to cook between school and the meeting. Anyway, here is what I threw in the crockpot:
4 chicken breasts in the bottom of the pot. Pour a box of Stove Top, dried, on top of that. Mix together 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, 1/2 cup sour cream, and 1/4 cup water. Pour the soup mixture on top of the Stove Top. Cook on low for the day. I cooked some green beans before heading out to warm up before we ate.
