Saturday Stuff

Brianna had a great time swimming at the Y with her friend yesterday. She said she was so tired when she got home!

Last night we went to a surprise party for our pastor. I think he was truly surprised. Karen, Jimmy's wife, did a great job of planning everything. His gift from the staff were two frames filled with connection cards. Connection cards are where we send information to the staff: prayer requests, if you are a first time visitor, if you want to voluteer somewhere, stuff like that. They were so nice. It's amazing to think that our church touches the lives of so many people. It was nice hanging out with people outside of church. The kids had a great time dancing! They are party machines!

Today was fun. It rained, which we really need. We went out to lunch this morning. We went to the new Chinese buffet in Kannapolis. It was good and there was a huge amount of food on the buffet tables. I couldn't believe how many tables of food they had! Here is the good part, we ate for only $18. That is good for a family of four! I ate until I thought I would explode! After a quick trip to Wal-Mart we came home and just hung out for the rest of the afternoon.

I am really excited about my lesson for 252 tomorrow. We are going to talk about Mary. I think that will hit home with the girls, since Mary was their age when she was visited by Gabriel. I just hope I can get my point across.
