Amazed

My kids never cease to amaze me. Alex was in the bathroom and I hear something being poured into the toilet. If you know Alex, you know to be concerned when you hear this sound. He had taken his pants and diaper off and peed in the little potty and was pouring it into the big potty. When he saw me standing in the door, he smiled and said, "gummies." He gets gummy bears for using the potty. So, he had gummy bears with his bacon and eggs this morning. I guess it is time for me to let him grow up a little and really hit the potty training thing. I don't want to, I know he is my last little one and it makes me sad to watch him grow and become more independant. Brianna will turn 8 and will be in the third grade in August and I am not happy about any of it. It's hard for parents to let their children grow up!

What are those words I hear coming from my daughter's mouth? "It's really hard for parents to let their kids grow up." Now that you've reached that point, maybe you can understand why I did and said a lot of the things I did when you all were growing up. One word of advise - it never stops! It slows up - especially when they are married and gone - but you never stop worrying about them. Mom
