Weekend Stuff

Friday we had Rock Group. Mr. David brought us a great message and introduced Alex to a new snack. He put vanilla wafers in an empty box of dog treats. So, Alex's new snack is "dog cackers." He walks around with his treat box eating his "cackers" out of it.

I got my jewelry order on Friday. I was like a kid at Christmas. Girls just love shiny, sparkly things!

Saturday we didn't do much of anything. I went to buy groceries early and after that we hung out at home and Brian worked on his project ALL day. I think he got a lot done, but not sure.

Sunday was a typical Sunday. I can't wait to listen to Jimmy's message on the internet. I was in the nursery today, so missed the first service. During the second service we were told by Travis to teach about something that we are passionate about. I talked to them about their value and their worth. Girls this age are so beaten down by their peers about their physical image. I just talked to them about being made in God's image, and he doesn't make junk. He also doesn't make mistakes.

After church Sonya and Amos came over for lunch. I has been a while since we have gotten together for lunch. We had a great time. We even broke out the Slip and Slide. Liz and Nicole came over to slide. I have tons of pictures, some I will post tomorrow.

Brianna has two days of school left. I can't believe this school year is over. Where did it go?

All in all we had a good weekend. I need to finish up some cards for Brianna's teachers, but that will wait until Alex is in the bed. It's hard to stamp with him up. He is too curious. He has started laying in the bed with me at night before he goes to bed. I enjoy that time with just him.

Please be praying for the Bateman family this week.
