Just Wondering

I was just wondering if there is a proper way to eat watermelon. I grew up having seed spitting contests. I was eating some watermelon today, doing just that, spitting seeds as far as I could. If you know if there is a proper way to eat watermelon, let me know. I'm not changing my ways, just wondering.
