Stressin

Brianna is stressing over her EOG's that she will be taking next week. She was showing me the ways her teacher is showing them to calm down. I really wish she didn't have to do this, or that there was a lot less emphasis put on them. I know the teachers get pressure from the principals, the principals get it from the county office, and the county office gets it from the state. When I was teaching third grade, it was the first year they had the gateway grades. I had a kid that could have taught the class come in the first day of the EOG's and he was sick to his stomach because he was afraid he would fail the test and fail third grade. It's just a shame that we put so much pressure and stress on these kids. So, I'm going to be praying hard for all the EOG takers I know next week. You guys will do a great job. Don't stress out about it!
