We had a good weekend around the Taylor house.
Friday night we had Rock Group. I love having everyone here. It's so much fun to get together with that group. While Mr. David was giving us our nugget, Alex whispered to me to ask if he could teach. I told him later. After Mr. David was finished, I told the group what Alex wanted to do. They said let him teach, so we let him teach. It was one of the cutest things I have ever seen. He had his children's Bible and was telling us that God loves us. Faith like a child, right!
Saturday after working out with Tiffani, I met some friends at the mall for a Kidgits event. If you don't know what Kidgits is, it's the summer kids program at Concord Mills. They will have about a month of activities. I told Bri we would go to one a week. It will be something for them to do to get out of the house this summer. After that and a nap was a trip to Lowes. I don't normally like to go to Lowes and hurry Brian through, but this time, I just looked around. The kids played with mailboxes for a long time. When we got home, Brian did some of the projects on his to do list. We still need to do some yard work, but I may wait until late one night to get that done.
Sunday after church we made a trip to Wal Mart and spent much more money than we intended. Isn't that always the case in Wal Mart? I picked up some stuff for my secret sister at church. I also picked up some craft projects for the kids to do this summer. I want to have things to keep them occupied when it's just too hot to move or raining. We had supper at Casa Grande. YUM! I ate more than I needed to. That's okay, I'm planning on going to two Zumba classes this week to work it off.
We made a recipe from my new cookbook, Hungry Girl's 200 for under 200. It was so good and so easy to make.
Freckled Lemonade
One-half 2-serving packet (about 1/2 teaspoon) sugar-free lemonade powdered drink mix
1 cup diet lemon-lime soda, cold
4 frozen strawberries
1 no-calorie sweetner packet
2/3 cup crushed ice or 3 to 5 ice cubes
In a tall glass, combine drink mix, soda and sweetener with 1/4 to 1/2 cup cold water. Stir until drink mix has dissolved.
Pour the lemonade mixture into a blender. Add frozen strawberries and ice to the blender. Blend until smooth.
Pour into your glass and sip away!
Makes 1 serving and for those of you who do Weight Watchers, it has a point value of 0!
