Alex and Officer Daniel

Alex got the surprise of his life on Sunday. We were at Momma's waiting for lunch to be ready and Daddy had gone to the fire department to get ice. He came in and whispered to me that there would be a police officer there in about 5 minutes. I started to tell Alex, but thought I would let it be a surprise. Well, I should have told him what was going on. When the car pulled up and we all headed outside, Alex started crying and saying he wanted to go inside. He thought he was in trouble and was going to get arrested, he had been aruging with MawMaw and giving her a hard time. I finally got him calmed down and outside. He was hanging on to me for dear life. He really was scared. I convinced him to actually get in the car. That's when he started asking questions. Daniel let him turn the blue lights on and showed him everything that was on his belt.

I think Alex's favorite thing on Daniel's belt was the taser. That's all he's been able to talk about, how when he grows up he's going to tase people! Alex has told everyone about Officer Daniel coming to PawPaw's house to visit. The adults joked about MawMaw arresting us if we didn't help her out!
