Weekend Update Part 3

Sunday we went out to Tybee Island. The girls had a marine biology lesson. Athena was their leader. After lunch at the pavilion and a walk out to the end of the pier, we went on a dolphin cruise.
This little lighthouse is the smallest in Georgia. Kayakers can go right up to it and go in. It is a cute little thing.
The guys on Pappy's Dream. They had caught a small hammerhead. The little boy holding it up was so proud.
Here's the Tybee Island lighthouse.

As these guys were sorting their catch, they would feed the dolphins so we could see them better. This guy was after whatever they were giving him. I got several good dolphin pictures. We were not promised being able to see anything, so when we started seeing them swimming, we got all excited.

Brianna and I hanging out on the boat.

After we went back to the hotel to swim, rest and shower we went to Casbah for supper. Casbah is a Moraccan restaurant. Here is the waitress washing the kids hands.
The belly dancer in Casbah. She was good and looked great. The henna artist said that the dancer had just had a baby!

The girls and one of their leaders belly dancing.

The statue of John Wesley. I grew up Methodist, so I thought I would snap this picture.

Brianna's henna dolphin.

Both Brianna and I with out henna tattoos and pedicures.

The henna artist giving us our care instructions.

The Olde Pink House Restaurant. We heard about this place on our ghost tour. Apparently the ghost likes to not let ladies out of the bathrooms. If you know me, you know why I was completely freaked out by this.
Our ghost tour was a horse drawn carriage. BUT, there is a company that offers ghost tours in a hearse!! The top of the hearse is cut out, and there are seats close to the top, so people can see out. Cracked me up!!

We had a great trip. I loved having some girl time with Brianna. Savannah is HOT in the summer though. If you are going to visit, I wouldn't suggest going in the summer. I would love to take Brian and Alex back for a visit, maybe early Spring or late Fall. It really is a great town, lots of walking and things to see and do.
