Friday started off with Brianna going to the opthomologist. It was just for her yearly check up, and thankfully she still doesn't need glasses. Then we went to a shoe sale. I think the words shoe sale are most girls favorite!! Anyway, Shoe Show and Shoe Department had a huge warehouse sale and the kids and I racked up! After the sale, it was on to Concord Mills to meet up with Angie, my college roommate, her kids, her mom, and her brother. We got together this time last year and it was so much fun. This time was no different. We ate lunch, walked around the mall a bit and then let the kids ride go carts at the Speedpark. Alex got his first ride in a go cart with Brianna driving. He was so excited! I had told him he couldn't ride because he was to little, but then realized he could ride with her. She said she started out going slow, but he kept telling her to go faster. When we left the mall we went through the drive through at KFC to pick up some chicken for Rock Group. Rock Group was fun too! After having missed two meetings, I was ready to meet again. I was missing everyone!
Saturday the kids and I headed to Shelby for Amos' birthday party. But, before we left, I asked Alex for a kiss and he said, "No. I don't kiss evil queens." At least he thinks I'm a queen. When we walked into their house, Cragan started crawling to us. It was the best! She knows, I will pick her up, if she gets close!! She is walking too! I can't believe how fast she is growing! After the party, Brianna left with Momma and Daddy. It's her turn at Camp MawMaw. Then, Alex and I stopped by Ham's for a dinner date. He is such a little man, he wanted to pay the waitress when it was time to leave. While we were there, a lady walked in dressed as a pirate, hat, boots, the whole nine yards! Alex thought that was the coolest thing. He moved seats, so he could see her.
Sunday was church and it was a sermon I really needed to hear. After church Alex and I went to buy groceries. With Brian working third, I tried to stay out of the house as much as possible. I have to admit, he was good this afternoon though. He wasn't loud at all. He helped me make pickles and played really well. He does miss Brianna though. He keeps asking when she will be home. I may have to start a countdown.
