Vacation Update #2
Tuesday and Wednesday:
Tuesday was Brianna's birthday. Can't believe she is 10! Anyway, we went to Bi-Lo and got her a cookie cake. It was delicious with a cup of coffee after we got back to the house.
My mom and dad came down for a couple days to play with the kids. Alex had big fun wearing PawPaw's sunglasses and flying a kite.
Brianna flying her kite in her new peace sign bathing suit. We didn't stay on the beach all day Tuesday. We just went for the morning. Went back to the house to make some lunch. Then I had to go find some internet to submmit two Thirty-One orders. Momma and Daddy went to check in to their motel and rest for a bit. We met up with them that afternoon and headed in to Charleston for supper and some walking around. We ate at Hymans!!! I had shrimp and it was delicous! There is nothing like eating seafood at the beach.
This HUGE ship was docked in Charleston and we could see it Wednesday when we went back to the "park under the bridge." We didn't go to the beach at all on Wednesday. That was the day Hurricane Earl was kicking up some bigger waves and rip currents. So...
we went fishing. For $8 the kids, Daddy and Brian could hang out and fish off the pier. Seriously, if you go to Charleston, check out this park. Parking is only 50 cents an hour! And it is soooooooooo much fun. Sunday when we were there, we saw a dolphin swimming around.

Here's the big catch! It looks so small in Daddy's hand!
Brian is VERY proud of his catch of the day. It's a good thing supper didn't depend on what they caught. As soon as they would drop their hooks, the shrimp would be gone instantly. The kids fished for about an hour and a half. They were over it though after a while. Momma and I took the kids to their hotel to swim and the boys stayed behind to fish. They caught a turtle and some other things.
