Weekend Update

Our weekend started a little early. Thursday Brianna got out of school at lunch time. Brian and Alex went to lunch before Brian left for Virginia. They brought Bri some lunch home. That afternoon Bri wanted to go to the library. Thursday night we went to Great Wolf Lodge for story time. We took Bri's friend Lexi with us and her friend Kendyl met us there. Those are three silly girls!

Friday the kids let me sleep until 8!!! I never get to sleep that late. Candice and her mom came over to close out Candice's Thirty One party. Then the kids and I got our list together and went to Wal Mart to buy groceries. The place was packed. I guess because school was out. Friday night we had Rock Group. I had forgotten how much I miss having people besides the kids and I here. It was so fun sitting around the table, eating and laughing. We NEED to have people over more often.

Saturday we got up, got some vegetable soup going in the crock pot, and headed to AW Shucks in Monroe. It's a farm with a corn maze, slide, swing, goats, chickens, a huge turkey, hayride, all kinds of fun stuff. On the way down 601 we passed some cotton fields. Alex asked Bri what it was, she told him cotton. He kept telling me there was cotton candy growing in the field. The kids had a great time playing at the farm. (There are a ton of pictures from our zoo trip and our corn maze trip coming later in the week.)

Sunday after church, we made a Wal Mart run to get black eyeliner and gold eye shadow. Then Brianna and I piled up on the couch and watched Ghost Hunters. There was a marathon on and at 7, they had a live event come on. Brian and Alex worked outside all afternoon. Brian and I took the kids to trick or treat with one of Bri's friends in the neighborhood behind us. They got quite a haul! (Pictures of their costumes will come later in the week too.) While we were at one house, I saw someone duck down behind the bushes. I told the kids and made Brian walk up with Alex. There was a guy in the bushes with a mask on. We got away without incident. The older girls behind us didn't fair so well. The guy jumped out of the bushes and we heard them scream. Alex said it was nice of the guy not to scare him, because he would cry.
