After my fabulous experience (eye roll) with Ms. Friendly Cashier and Ms. Do Nothing CSM at Wal Mart, we came home, put the cold stuff away and I got on the treadmill. I was still mad, so I ran 2 miles, and felt much better afterward. Then I play Zumba on the Wii for another 45 minutes. I have some ridiculous goal to get 250 minutes of exercise this week. Hopefully I will see a good result when I weigh in Tuesday. Friday night was Rock Group night, it was also the weekend for the Journey Thru Bethlehem at Providence Baptist. So, that's what we did as a RG, we walked through Bethlehem. I always love doing that every year and it probably wouldn't feel like Christmas without it. Alex was full of questions before hand. I told him he has been doing this since he was in a stroller. Anyway, he was excited to go. BUT, when we got there and they started talking about the Roman soldiers, he got a little nervous. He thought he was going to get arrested! When we got inside the village and our guide told us not to stare at the soldiers or speak to them. Alex looked at me and said, "I'm kinda freakin out here." I told him not to worry and he didn't until we got to the vineyard keepers shop. They were offering grapes to everyone, and Alex looked around and we had to tell him it was okay to get one. Bless his heart, he was "freakin out." His favorite part was at the end when he got to see the donkey and Mrs. Jennifer and Mr. Adam's goats. I think Bri's favorite part was coming home to hot chocolate and blueberry angel food cake.
Saturday afternoon I had a Christmas card camp. We made some very pretty cards this year. While I was there it was sleeting like crazy. Brian sent me a text that Alex was playing outside. I sent one back to make sure he had a coat on! After my card camp we headed to Concord Mills. Now, if you live anywhere near Concord, you know it's ridiculous to go anywhere near The Mills on a weekend, but we went in the back way! No waiting in traffic!! It was fabulous. Anyway we went to Old Navy, they posted a sweater on their FaceBook page that I fell in love with. Plus, I still had some birthday gift card money to spend. I got my sweater, some tank tops and a couple long sleeve t-shirts. After Old Navy we walked around the mall for a bit, tried out the new frozen yogurt place (with the rest of the people in the mall), and started the Great Microwave Search. Brian bought our current microwave when he lived in Charlotte before we got married. Seriously, it's been around for 10 + years! Looking for anything is not so simple with Brian around. We had to look up reviews on the one I liked at Lowes. We didn't get it because the reviews said it wasn't good. Sears had nothing that I liked.
Sunday I wore my new sweater to church and loved it. It's like a blanket. Brian sat next to me a church, he said he may need to borrow some of my afghan. Then, toward the end of church he asked me if I had shoes on! Said the ones I wore looked like slippers! I told him to leave my clothing choices alone, I was warm and comfortable! After church I had my only Thrity One party for the month. Then, after supper we continued The Search! We looked at Home Depot and Target. I wasn't impressed with the selection at either place. Brian is currently searching online. He must be over going in and out of stores. Plus, it's cold!
