Friday afternoon while I was making supper, I realized I was out of tortillas. The kids and I loaded up and went to Food Lion. We saw the funniest outfit. A lady had on grey sweatpants with a Christmas sweater and high heeled shoes!! That night us "Fancy Girls" went to see The Nutcracker ballet. I have to say, I've never been to the ballet before. We went with Bri's Girl Scout troop. One the way home Bri said she wants to know how they stand on their toes like that, without falling. "They twirl and spin and do the tree pose and never fall!" While she was thinking about pointe shoes and such, I kept thinking that I am as graceful as those ladies who were dancing. If you know me at all, you are laughing your hiney off right now. In reality, I'm not graceful AT ALL! In my mind I am though!!
Saturday the kids went to Siemens to see Santa. I have some pictures to share later. Alex got a remote controlled backhoe and Bri got a $20 gift card to Wal Mart from Santa. They both had their faces painted and got balloons. We even got the chance to see Brian's new office. Of course, Bri's gift card was burning a hole in her pocket, so we went to Wal Mart near the plant. She picked up two books. Then we came home, and my parents stopped by. They were leaving a birthday party in High Point, and weren't here long. After they left, we threw supper together real quick and I went shopping. The Taylor Santa had bought NOTHING! Maybe next year I will get it together and be finished before now. It would be nice to have all my shopping finished by the beginning of December next year. I have slowed down this year and I'm not stressing over anything. While in Target some man kept talking to me and asking if his grandchildren would like whatever it was he had in his hands. I came home and asked Brian if I have something tattooed on my forehead that says, talk to me. He says I talk to the weirdest people.
Sunday was church. When we got seated at church one of the boys from Alex's Sunday school class came running up and said, "Hello Alex's mother." It totally cracked me up. He had a stuffed dog and let me pet it. Then he sat with us during worship. After church we stopped by Bloom and picked up some pizza for Brian to grill when we got home. After lunch Brianna and I made our Christmas cards. I made some earlier at Sharon's but we always need extra. The rest of the afternoon was spent doing nothing. Brianna put on her pajamas before 3 in the afternoon.
