Bronze Award

Brianna's Girl Scout troop is working on earning their Bronze Award. They are working with a shelter for homeless women and children. They are making Kit for Kids, which is small backpacks filled with fun stuff for the women and children: notebooks, stuffed animals, crayons, pencils, stuff like that. They are also learning to knit scarves. Tonight some of the girls made and served supper. We found out it was one of the kids birthdays so we made a birthday cake for her. After supper they played games with the kids. Brianna said she had a lot of fun. I read this in a post on FaceBook over the weekend: "Love is an amazing and powerful gift that can truly only be defined by experience and not words."
