Saturday Brian got a lot accomplished. He did some maintenance on the truck and cut the grass. He also sprayed outside for bugs. After he got finished and got ready we went to buy groceries. I normally don't go to Wal Mart on the weekend. I thought I was going to have to break open an "adult beverage" just to make it through. There were kids all over the place yelling for their parents, parents yelling for their kids. It was CRAZY. Bri stayed at Lexi's most of the day and I picked her up after supper.
Sunday Brian had video at church and Bri got bit by something on her chin. She was complaining of it hurting, so I looked. She had a huge red spot and it was warm. I gave her some Benadryl and we went to church anyway. She sat in service with me and Alex went to his class. It was promotion Sunday, and guess what? Both of my kids promoted to the next class!! How is that possible?!?!? Alex got a small Bible from his teachers and Jeff gave him a picture of Grave Digger autographed by the driver. Since Bri didn't go to class, Leigh sat with her in the lobby and talked to her and gave her a Bible as well. I couldn't listen to what Leigh told Bri, I was crying and had to look away. After lunch we went to the pool for the first time this season. The kids played hard and went to bed early. The added bonus of pool time may be an early bed time!
For supper Friday night I made Grilled Chicken Cordon Bleu. Just grill your chicken breasts and when they are almost finished top with shaved ham and swiss cheese. I had grilled zucchini with mine and the kids had mac and cheese and green beans. We all liked this, so it will make it to the regular recipe rotation.
