Monday Odds and Ends

I feel like the crazy magnet sometimes.  The little boy that we walk home from the bus stop laid down in the middle of the road today!  He said he needed to see what was under the manhole cover!

Alex and I were getting ready to read this afternoon and he brought me a book with several different stories in it. I told him to pick the story he wanted me to read.  He opened the book and said, "This is the Table of Contents, let's read it."  I guess he wanted to read a quick story today.

On the way to Bri's school we were listening to 91.9 and they were having people call in with stories of organ donation, I think.  We started listening in the middle.  After the song, they took a call and the guy told a story of a lady that was pregnant with her second child.  She had a heart condition before her pregnancy.  Her doctors believed if she continued with the pregnancy it would be to much on her body, so she should abort the pregnancy.  Her husband and she decided not to abort, but to continue with the pregnancy.  After the birth of their son, the lady needed a new kidney and was on dialysis for 10 years.  Their oldest daughter turned 18 not long ago and had herself tested and was a match to the mom.  So, she is giving her mom a kidney.  While we were listening to this, I'm crying like a baby.  Bri thought it was funny, because I cry at everything.
