Weekend Update

Friday I spent the day with Cragan.  She is so, so much fun!  Alex came home from school not feeling well, so he put on his jammies and curled up on the couch.  He progressively got worse as the night went on.  He started running a pretty high fever right at bedtime.  I started him on Mucinex and Ibuprofen. 

Saturday morning he got in bed with Brian and I at 3 and then we were both up at 5:30.  He said his throat hurt, so I got him some juice and we cuddled on the couch.  I took him to the Minute Clinic when it opened.  I could hear a rattle when he was breathing and I just wanted to make sure he didn't have strep or bronchitis.  The nurse working the Minute Clinic was a mom of one of Alex's friends at school.  She told him she hated to give him a strep test, but had to.  He didn't like her to well after that, but she won some major points when she told him to eat some popsicles and ice cream to help his throat.  So, we ran to Target to get some popsicles, ice cream and apple juice. 

Sunda was spent with Alex on the couch again.  Nothing terribly exciting with Alex being sick.
