We had a VERY good weekend. Friday Brian was home so he and I finished up the kids Christmas. I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Brian had a quick meeting at work from 12-1, so I cleaned the upstairs while he was gone. After his meeting he wanted to run out to SouthPark, so we checked the kids out of school early and away we went. Neither kid knew we were going to get them early, so it was a nice surprise.
Saturday, we didn't do much at all. We had to go pick up a Christmas gift and make a Target run. We didn't even get out of pajamas until 1. I got a phone call that our friend Sherry's son was in ICU at CMC. The last update i heard was that he is making improvements. Please, keep this family in your prayers.
Sunday we actually went to church. It's hard to get back into the habit of going once you get out of the habit. After church we came home and again did nothing. Brian go caught up on some training he has to do for work. The kids played. I read. It was a relaxing Sunday afternoon.
I've got so much I want to do this week before Christmas. I want us to go to the Billy Graham Library. They have a live nativity and some other Christmas activities. I also want to go walk around Uptown Charlotte. Not to do anything specific, just walk around and see what we can find.
A couple weeks ago Bri asked me if I could get her a pomegranate to try. I got her one Friday. We cut it open and got the seeds or whatever it is you beat out of them. The kids really liked it. I thought it would be good with something sweet. I put some on top of WW vanilla yogurt. The WW vanilla is sweet by itself, so the pomegranates went GREAT with it.
