Friday started EARLY! And I mean early people. Alex woke me up at 3 am saying his ear hurt. I stumbled downstairs, trying not to fall, to get him some Ibuprofen. At 4, he came back in saying he had a nightmare. So, I scooted over to make room for him. At 4:30 he had another nightmare in the bed with us. I took him to the Minute Clinic and he has an ear and sinus infection. His friend Parker's mom was working at the Minute Clinic. She was the one who gave him a strep test a couple months ago. He told her she could check him out, but she couldn't put that stick down his throat. We stayed home Friday letting him rest and get better. I worked on laundry and cleaned bathrooms while he vegged in front of the TV. After supper Bri finished two projects she needed to work on. She chose to make crosswords puzzles using her vocabulary words. It was super easy since she found a website to do it for her. I'm glad it was easy for her too. She only found out about the projects on Thursday and they are due on Monday.
Saturday morning Alex woke us up at 6:45. He said he needed to check on us. After lunch we headed to my mom and dad's. Momma, Sonya and I went to see Chonda Pierce. If you don't know who Chonda is check out this video:
Bri and Alex stayed with PawPaw while we were gone. Brian was home studying. Alex still didn't feel good. He is just so whiny and wants to be close to me. After the concert we met up with Sonya, Amos, and Cragan at Pizza Inn in Shelby. The kids love their dessert pizza.
Sunday morning Alex wanted some deer sausage for breakfast. Brian worked on a man's computer from work and he "paid" Brian in deer sausage. In the summer this same guy pays Brian with produce from his garden. We stayed home to let Alex rest up for school on Monday. I hope he feels like going. It's the hundredth day of school and his teacher has some fun activities planned. I'm volunteering and am excited. He feels fine for a bit, playing and running around and then he crashes and lays down.
Sunday afternoon I learned that a friend of mine passed away. I met Maria at MOMS Club. Over the passed couple years she, her husband and their son have been dealing with the ups and downs of the adoption process. At one time, they were waiting on a call to pick up their daughter, but that call never came. Maria was kicked in the head by a horse about a week and a half ago. After a successful surgery, there were complications that her body couldn't fight. Please be praying for Ryan and Aiden as they deal with this loss.
