Weekend Update

I know I'm late.  I normally like to have this ready to post first thing Monday morning, but we are all recovering from our weekend and I got behind.

Our weekend started on Thursday.  I took the kids to my mom after school.  They stayed with her, yes and missed school on Friday, while I went on a girls weekend to Charleston.  I think both of them drove PawPaw's tractor on Friday and loved it.  That was the first thing out of Bri's mouth when I talked to her Friday night.

Saturday Alex and PawPaw went to the Flea Market.  They must have had animals for sale, because they called me to see if Alex could have a rabbit or chicken.  I told them we didn't have a place for either.  Bri and MawMaw went to Weight Watchers and ran some errands while the boys bonded and did boy things.

Sunday after church they went to Sonya's for ice cream cake and the Bri conned MawMaw into a trip to Clarie's.  That trip resulted in three new pairs of earrings.  I have to say, they got some cute earrings!

That's the kids weekend, now here's mine:  Friday was spent driving and when we got into Charleston we went to the Waterfront Park in Mt. Pleasant to stretch our legs and walk a bit.  Then we just picked up some take out for dinner, a place called Carryout Dave's, that the guy at the front desk of the hotel raved about.

Saturday we got up and went on a harbor cruise.  It's been a while since I went on one of those.  I got some really good pictures (they will be at the bottom).  After the cruise and lunch at the Noisy Oyster, we walked around the market.  One of the ladies wanted to sit down for a bit, so I sat with her.  We were on a bench outside Haagen Daz when we started hearing sirens.  We looked up and they were stopping in front of us! The place across the street was on fire!  It was very exciting.  A fire in the market area brings out the crazies, or those people who you don't think looked in a mirror before they walked out of the house.  We laughed and had a great time.

Sunday was the trip home.  I was ready to get home to Brian and the kids.  I really missed them, but the break was just what we needed.  Brian spent the weekend studying and working on a project.
