Weekend Update

We had a wild weekend.  I knew it was going to happen.  The next several weekends will be busy.  Friday night we went to a birthday party.  I've been walking with the mom of Bri's friend M.  The mom invited us to her youngest daughter's birthday party. The kids were all about the candy in the Piñata.  Neither one of them cared anything about actually hitting the piñata, just the candy.  When Alex realized he could really hit the piñata as hard as he wanted, he really liked that idea.   I got to try a tamale at the party.  Oh my goodness, it was delicious!!!

Saturday we headed to Momma's. If we didn't hurry up and get up there I was going to get in major trouble with them all!  Momma had Cragan for the weekend.  We went to see Nana and went the the pumpkin patch.  The kids had a good time playing.  Alex and Cragan were playing on Nana's bed and were laughing so hard, we had to call them down for being loud.  When Nana's lunch came Momma took all the kids down the hall so she could eat.  When we left the nursing home there was a lady rolling down the hall and Momma said she doesn't talk to the adults, just the kids.  We all know Alex doesn't meet a stranger, so he had to tell her hey.  At the pumpkin patch Momma and I picked up some asian pears. I have seen them in the store, but never tried them.  We got to sample one at the patch and it's firm like an apple but the taste of a pear.  When it was time to come home my head was hurting so bad.  It was hard to focus and drive.  I just wanted to get home.  It was the longest ride in history!  When we got home Bri made supper for her and Alex, I went to bed.

Sunday we were home.  My head was still hurting so badly.  I made chicken chili for supper and the kids worked on homework.
