In Alex's class if they are caught being good or doing what they are supposed to be doing they get to put their name in a grid that is on the board. At the end of the day his teacher will pull two or three grid numbers. If their name gets pulled from the bag they get to then pull from a prize bag. In the bag are strips with different privileges on them: use a pen for the day, sit in the teachers chair, lunch with a friend, treasure box, and send an email to your parent. Alex has gotten to send me an email twice and I just LOVE it when I see those emails come through. Here is what he has to say:
"what do you want for dinner?
Thank you for being my mom. See you after school."
"i love you thank for being my mother. see you later."
