Big Words

from a little boy. Alex has a habit of working big words into everyday conversation and he normally uses them in the right context. He also says them out of the blue. You just never know!

One day last month I got a Thirty One order and the best thing to Alex about these orders, besides the GPS stopping at our house, is the boxes they come in. I only used one of the two boxes, so Alex built himself a habitat. I asked him where he heard the word habitat, and he said, "At the zoo! You said the animals live in a habitat."

On the way to Weight Watchers last week there was a commercial on the radio and they said "piedmont." Alex piped up and said, "Hey, I know that word. We live in the Piedmont. Do you know who else lives in the Piedmont Momma? Our neighbors." I asked him where he had heard that word. Apparently Brianna has been reading to him from her Social Studies book!
