Weekend Update

Friday night we had Rock Group. Jennifer and Adam made a deer roast and it was so good. I had never had deer before and was a little leery of trying it, but I always ask the kids to try new stuff. So, I couldn't be hypocritical and not try it myself.

Saturday morning Brianna had school. Saturday makeup days are not terrible, it's only a half day. While she was at school Robin and I went to the park for a jog. It was fun jogging and having someone to talk to. On our way home we stopped by a couples house that Robin and i both know. They were moving from one house to another, they were both in the same neighborhood. But, their church family showed up to help them move and it was amazing! I couldn't believe how many people showed up, most of whom the couple didn't know! After Bri got out of school, my parents came down. Then, for supper we had turkey burgers and I made homemade potato chips. The chips were delish! I fried them in oil and as soon as they came out, I sprinkled some Mrs. Dash Garlic and Herb seasoning on them. Oh my! They were the best chips I have ever made.

Sunday after church we went to lunch at Texas Roadhouse. Brian and I love their ribs and apparently so does Alex. He ate more of our ribs than his chicken strips! After lunch we went to the mall. Brianna has a birthday party to go to over the weekend, so we needed a gift for that. She is excited to sleep over at Lexi's.
