Friday afternoon the kids and I went to the neighbors to make tye dye t-shirts. Then, after supper I took the kids to the pool. It turned into a MOMS Club reunion! There were 6 of us moms and 13 kids! Brianna even got to see her first "boyfriend" again. When she was maybe three she had a friend who was a boy, so she told Brian and me that that made him her boyfriend. We were at the pool until it closed. The kids like going at night better, they said they don't need sunscreen at night.
Saturday we were home most of the day. I washed laundry, the kids played. I sat on the back porch and painted my toe nails. While I was out there Alex came out to keep me company. I told him I needed to spray some weed killer. He pretended to squirt me and said it was weed killer. I acted like I was the witch in Wizard of Oz and started saying, "I'm melting" and layed down on the porch. He thought that was hilarious and said I was "like the witch on Oz. Not Dr. Oz, but Wizard of Oz." Bri and I about peed in our pants laughing at him. After supper we went to the Harrisburg 4th Festival. We walked around. Then we sat with the Davis girls to watch the fireworks. Bri was between Alex and me, so I couldn't hear what he was saying. Apparently he was praying with Robin, thanking God for our country, for the fireworks, and for the fun night.
Sunday afternoon we went out looking for appliances. With the new house, we need a new refrigerator, washer and dryer. The Davis girls came over for a cookout. According to Alex we had a feast, and we did! We grilled shrimp, corn, chicken kabobs, burgers, veggie kabobs and I made a pan of brownies. After supper we went outside, sat in the driveway and watched the neighborhood firework show. Our neighbors put on a fairly good show! It was easier than going out somewhere and dealing with traffic.
Monday there was more appliance hunting. I finally narrowed refrigerators down to two and found a washer and dryer I like.
