Weekend Update

I don't think I've posted two weekend updates back to back before.  Last week was busy, busy.  I volunteered in Alex's class Tuesday and then we were getting ready for Thanksgiving.  I have a ton of pictures to share this week, so be on the lookout for those.

Thursday we went up to my mom's for lunch.  I have to say, it was truly nice.  On the way up Alex was in the backseat talking to Bri about Heaven.  He said when he dies he wants to go to Heaven to see Jesus and God.  After lunch some of us sat around the table laughing and talking. We even had a visit from Adrienne, who was home from Liberty.  We laughed so much!

Friday, Brian had to work the whole weekend.  So, I took the kids to a park near the house. They had a nice waterfront area along the lake.  We walked and the kids played with the leaves.  I'm so glad I didn't need to go shopping for anything other than groceries.  When we got home and got the groceries put away the kids played outside on their scooters and bikes.

Saturday I finished up laundry and we got the Christmas tree put up.  The kids decorated it by themselves!    With NO ARGUING!  The tree looks great!  Bri and I have plans to make a couple more ornaments and of course I will probably pick up a few new ornaments.  It seems like we get a couple new ones every year.

Sunday we were home.  We didn't do anything but lay around and watch movies.  The kids played outside before the rain started.  Brian did get to come home for lunch and a quick nap.  He likes living close enough to run home for a bit.
