Happy Birthday

to the Girl Scouts!!  Today is the 100th birthday of the Girl Scouts.  On March 12, 1912, Juliette Gordon Low assembled 18 girls in Savannah, GA and registered them as the first troop of Girl Guides.  The name changed from Girl Guides to Girl Scouts the next year.  Here is Juliette Gordon Low's biography from the Girl Scout website.
