Weekend Update

Friday afternoon I made some chocolate cupcakes.  I used a box of Devil's Food cake cake mix and added a can of pumpkin.  Not pie filling, just plain pumpkin.  Added some water and scooped them into a cupcake pan.  They are so good.  I didn't put any icing on them, just left them plain.  No one seems to miss the icing.  That night we were home.  I needed to get some cleaning finished up.  I had Alex vacuum his room with Brian supervising.  While this was going on I was steam cleaning the bathrooms.  While Alex was vacuuming, Brian asked if it was legal.  I asked him what and he said using child labor.  I'm all about putting their energy to good use!

Saturday I went to Stamp Club.  YAY for Sharon starting a class on Saturday!!  I was so excited to be there.  We did a new technique card and I can't wait to do more of those!  It was so easy and fun!  Then I stopped by to see the Davis girls.  Man, how I miss seeing those girls all the time.  When I got home my parents were here.  Bri used her sweet face to con Momma into taking her to Bath and Body.  They only came home with a few things, which is good.  Bri can go a little crazy in Bath and Body.  We went to Jim and Nicks for supper.  I ate my whole sandwich!  I hardly ever do that, normally I just eat half.  But this time I ate the whole thing and didn't eat many of my onion rings, so I guess it all evened out.  The onion rings warm up well in the oven, so I don't mind bringing those home.

Sunday we started the hunt for a desk for Brian.  We went to several office stores to look around.  After our excursion we came home.  Bri's friend came over so they could work on a presentation on Austria they have to do next week.  They are such good girls, they worked hard and are almost finished.  I think they have a couple more things to get together.  They also have to write a research paper, which is independent.  They have a lamb puppet like the one used in The Sound of Music that sings and some dresses to use for their presentation.  They are lucky because Bri's friends mom lived in Austria for a while!  That's probably why they picked that country.

Can you tell everyone felt better this weekend?
