Friday afternoon started with Alex and I getting a bath on the way from the bus stop. It started pouring rain when it was time for his bus. Alex LOVED it! He thought it was hilarious that I was getting wet. It stopped about 2 minutes after we walked in the door. Thankfully the second round of rain held off until we got home front he middle school. We just hung out at home Friday night.
Saturday we went to Concord for a birthday party. A lady Alex and I met at WW is turning 80 on Tuesday, so her family had a surprise party for her. While we were at the party Bri got to hang out with her friends from last year! She was so excited to spend some time with Lexi and Kendal. It was hard to get her to leave! After we picked her up we all needed something to drink so we stopped by McDonalds in Harrisburg. While we were sitting in the drive thru I saw my friend Jenny. I asked Bri if she would yell at her and get her attention if I rolled down the window. She looked at me like I was crazy. So, I did it! It was such a great surprise to get to see her and catch up for a minute.
Sunday afternoon Bri and I headed to see The Hunger Games. It was a good movie. BUT, it was filmed as if a camera man was actually holding the camera. It was shaky, not smooth. It reminded me of the time my family went to Raleigh and Daddy was in charge of the video camera. He forgot it was on and he we were walking around. One minute he was filming the grass, the next minute the trees. Friends of mine are at a drive in movie seeing and that would be the way to go! Next time we will either do that or wait until it comes out on DVD. As soon as we got home Brian had to go to work. So, the kids and hung out the rest of the night.
